We Help People
Adams Brown Counties Economic Opportunities,
Inc. (ABCAP), is a community action program and
parent company to The Glass reFactory and Adams
Brown Recycling.
With a mission to
help alleviate
poverty
in our service area, ABCAP is an umbrella
organization to a diverse group of programs that
help people.
These programs include:

Housing
provides apartments for rent to low-income seniors
and the mentally ill, and homes for rent to low-income
families

Senior Nutrition
provides hot, home delivered meals and congregate
meal sites to qualifying seniors

Senior Companions
provides assistance and friendship to elderly,
homebound seniors

Employment &
Training provides income-eligible
customers with services that increase their potential
for employment and job retention.

Housing/Energy
provides home weatherization measures to low-income
households

Business Development
provides assistance to low-income entrepreneurs
who want to start their own small business

Child Care
provides pre-school for low-income families,
and services for expectant and new mothers

Recycling
provides recycling opportunities for all area
residents

Home Care
provides personal care, homemaking, transportation,
and home delivered meals to eligible residents

Emergency Services
provides a variety of assistance to low-income
households experiencing emergency needs

Child & Family
Health Services provides family
planning services, as well as services to new
and expectant mothers
